I am planning a trip upto whitsunday islands area and was keen to do some landbased fishing with my father and i was just wondering whats islands up there are you allowed to fish off.. if any...?

Hey Dylan , check the GBRMP zoning ....alternatively get a copy of the 1000 magic miles .
I did not get a heck of a lot up there on my trip in March , granted i didn't work too hard ( honeymoon ) but it is not all that easy to find a spot to fish from landbased up there ...

From memory most of the no fish zones are outside the commercial areas of the islands , most islands should have an area to land base fish .apart from Hayman i think ....
