Blind shark/dog shark.

Just an after thought. was it caught in nsw or qld? Not sure bout qld but i think its illegal to take them in nsw.

Tassie. thrown back in. Caught a heap of them today. Just wonderd what they were. I thought blind shark.

my thoughts are if you are catching shark off the rocks you are likely to be encountering swell shark, aka draughtboard sharks. They are a patchy brown color. Mongrel things.
Seem to be in plague proportion some times of the year around weedbeds and rocky/sandy areas.
Lots of place in tassie to shore fish without fishing the shark nursreys, from memory there are only around 6 in the state.

hes tha man in the know down in tassie so i would say it is a swell shark aka draughtboard shark

yeh we call 'em draughtboard sharks as well, when there's heaps they can really piss you off
