yabbies noosa river

could any one tell me is there any spots in the river to get some yabbies as im going there today

last time I went to Noosa, I took my yabby pump, which normally works overtime at the pin. First stop, Davo's bait & tackle in Tewantin and asked the same question, only to be told that there were virtually none about, except a few around the shallow lake entrances. As I didn't take the cast net he'd sold me the previous trip, I headed straight for his freezer

Two years ago I pumped large ones in a short time from north shore river entrance area. There is a deep water hole close to the north shore and surprisingly there was a high number of yabbies there. I'm not sure how this area is today, but I suspect they'll still be there in numbers.
