    Cane for crab pot

    i just wondering does any one know where i can get some cane to redo 4 cane crab pots in the style of cray pots i have four that need to be recaned with the hole in the top geat for muddies

    I think it is illegal to use a crab pot with the hole in the top. I am pretty sure i remembered taliking to a bloke who made his own pots and he was saying that fisheries were giving him trouble with his pots which had a hatch in the top for him to take the crabs out of. They thought it was an opening like the lobster pots...

    it is like a cray pot crabs go in the top do not know that they are illegal if you can use for crays
