    Mackerel Migration

My old baycruiser & deckie are not into bar crossings, so can anyone tell me if the migrating Macs travel down Moreton Bay as far south as Macleay or Russell. Do they even get down in the channels between the Pin and the Seaway or are they only found in the mid/northern bay and offshore??

you do get small spots down around Macleay between pelican & bannana banks

a 10kg+ spaniard was caught a year or so back in a major channel of the pin - that's unusual but it is a known pathway (if you know such things) for tailor - spaniards favorite lunch.

Between Harries & the west end of the rous is a bet too as well as the rainbow

ohh just saw your situation, you dont need to cross any bars around moreton if your heading up to the beacons....

also i;m out there on monday (weather prevail) if you want to meet on the water

Yeah thanks baitable, unfortunately I have a business to run weekdays, but the boat is also down at Horizon Shores, and at 6.5 knots, its a 5 hour run up to Moreton.

Thats why I wanted to know if they were down the Bottom of M/Bay or down around the Seaway......say around Wavebreak Is would be great. Has anyone got any Macs inside the Seaway??

Troll a good wolf herring around and you will soon find out if they are their or not.
