Northern Heads of the harbour.... They're around there a fair bit!
There are also a fair few wrecks around that area... Look em up on the dive websites to get the GPS marks...
Not too much help, but hope it helps little

I am a member of a spearfishing site and the Sydney guys have only just started reporting that they are in. They have pics of 10kg -15kg fish taken from around the Harbour yesterday.

Does bluefish point mean anything? This was one place they mentioned. Hope that helps.

Kings are pretty easy to catch in the Harbour. You just need the secret ingredient - fresh caught harbour squid. Catch a few of those and then fish the heads and strips around any of the harbour buoys. Its a simple as that.

yep have to say gunna is 100% right
work as hard as you can for some live squid and make sure you keep is alive
pin a couple of hoodlem hooks through the top and bottom of the hood and cast out to around the markers
weading cake being one great producer

How do you keep squid alive? I have handled them pretty cautiously and I still think they die within a minute of capture. Caught in net, not on squid jig either.

Re: Sydney harbour kings, any help?
one of the better ways is to keep them in a floating live bait bucket
i have found this to be a better way then in the boats live well where it doesn't get as flushed as well
all i have is a 20 something liter bucket (with lid of course) drill a heap os small holes around it and tie to the boat with a roap
when you catch a squid bring bucket in close remove lid and place in then seal lid again
the other butie about this is that in places like most of the haubor where you have some current the currnt draws any inc out that would otherwise kill the squid quickly
