So...... What's your biggest Cobia?

I don't chase Cobia, except in November '98 a pair of them decided to play with our Livies at the four beacons - resulting in double hook up!

My Fish was 37KG and Deckie Allan's was 28KG. My 15ft Mustang was impossible to stop nose bouncing all the way home with combined weight of 65KG in the back. I am sure we followed a rainbow out that day, and fished right at the end of it! Have not repeated as good a day as that, and the memories will last our lives, helped by the fact that my Uncle (in his boat) recorded the whole fight, all 2 hours, on video.

hi guys i have only went cobia fishingonce and i throuhgt i was very luky catching a 8.5kg one on 80lb fireline with a 100lb trace we were looking for the real bigs ones around Morten Island but that was the only one we caught the hole day but it wa a good fight cheers krause

Took my son and his friend to Western Rocks two weeks ago and they had a double hookup. @ 15 kg each. It was great to sit back and watch the antics as these two got manouvered around for the next half hour. Under the anchor and over the anchor, then over each other and under the motor. At one stage I sat on the bait board just laughing at it all. Great day
