    Odd Catches in the Surf

I'm just getting fairly keen about surf fishing.

So far off the beaches in SE Qld I have got the usuals ie Bream, Flatties, Whiting, Tailor,Dart and Aussie Salmon. I know you can also get jewies & sharks from the beach but they're not on my capture list - yet

What else have you surf fishos pulled from "the gutters" and on what baits ???????

On top of what's already been said, these are not commonly caught but can be at certain times if you are in the right place at the right time,

Pilchards/livies/lures - spanish mackeral, YTK's, snapper, tuna, bonito, trevs, long tom, (amberjack?

pippis/worms/yabbies - oyster crackers, tarwhine, mullet

LOL ...Not worried about hooking bikini tops, I am also in a nudist club.....seen way more naked bodies than fish.

Very interested to hear about macks and tuna, AJ and YTK.....not so keen on vermin, I'll leave that to Kingtin

Shovelnose, dog and wobbygong sharks quite regulary. Caught them on squid, mullet, pillies but they'll probably eat anything.

Flounder on a gang of 4 o's with whole pilchard.
Big butter bream on pilchard fillet. Filleted a couple, looked like trevaly flesh.
