Western Port Bay
Fished Eagle Rock Sat 14-1-06
Caught small bag Two Whitting & Two small Snapper through some smaller ones back to swim another day.
As leaving Eagle Rock we encounted a boat in trouble and rendered assistance and towed them back to Stony Point.
This is a momoth task as this will eat up a lot of fuel so any body willing to render assistance to another stricken boat remember the extra strain on your boat motor and we ended up back at Stony Point with only 4 to 5 ltrs left in our tank.
Pleased to say that all went well.
Not happy that several other boats motered past waved and went there merry way. The owner of the stricken boat was a littled worried as he thought that no one was going to stop.
Yours in Fishing.

Re: Western Port Bay
welcome aboard REXXY....
Thats a fair way to tow a boat, hope you had a outgoing tide. A lot of ppl wont know where WWP is as this a predominantly QLD site..
Might have been safer to drop him off at warneet or hastings if you unsure of your fuel

Re: Western Port Bay
Welcome Rexxy,
Good to hear that you did the right thing and rescued another in trouble
I've got 2 brothers that fish in the bay so would be interesting to know what is biting anyway.
Youll have to learn how to post pics too
