Tips for a weekend at Bundy?

Sending the in-laws to Bundy for the Oz Day weekend - will have their boat with them - any tips on where they should go (inshore/offshore)? Anyone got directions to the artificial reefs at Elliott Heads??

Any help would be appreciated (it'll keep them out of my hair for a few days!)

Just make sure they take everything out of the boat and lock it up when they cant keep an eye on it. The crime up there is unbelievable >

mate, mate, what bundy are you on about? it cant be bundaberg queensland, crime is below average, here i get local paper every day if someone has a car radio knocked off it makes the paper thats how much crime happens here. i live at the port we lock nothing. people here mostly laid back, fishings great here, fruit & vege so cheap. if you need something real cheap shalom markets on sunday, garage sales on satuday, no need for crime here. shame on you shane

Don't listen to ShaneJ our crime rate here is no higher than anywhere else and until I get caught it'll stay that way

Fishing the mouth of the Burnett River could give some good results and does not have a bar to cross to get out to the wild blue yonder. Fishing the Artificial off Elliot although good at times means having to have the tides right to get out of the mouth of the river as it is almost impossible to navigate even in a tinnie at low tide. Then ther is the shallows just outside the mouth that can get quite nasty if the wind and tide work against each other.

Thanks for the tips. A few to get them going. Don't worry, not put off by the crime talk - have family who haved lived in Bundy, just not fisherpeople, so never got the local knowledge on good spots offshore.
