    Fish ID Please?

I caught a few of these unknown fish amongst some herring in the cast net last night, i'm thinking they are juvenile tarpon or a threadfin ?

looks like a member of the anchovy family, the blunt head and big gob give it away. Threadies dont go down as far as where u are (noosa??) and would not school with herring
    cheers

    Re: Fish ID Please?

Threadies are in the noosa river. A bloke caught a ripper there a while back on a soft plastic from memory. Itd be once in a blue moon you'd see one there, and the bloke that caught it kept it... i dunno how i could bring myself to keep one out of the noosa river, it was probably the only one in there. Ah well, good photo and a decent fish nonetheless.
