Need help with Sunshine Coast landbase locations
Hi All:
I don't have a boat but love fishing.
I live in brisbane and normally drive to gold coast for fishing.
But during the summer time there is really not much fishs around the beachs.
And so far I can only found the big one around the rock wall beside the seaway.
(And normally you need luck to let them bite your baits)
Therefore I am thinking to give sunshine coast a try.
Can anyone suggest me some good land base fishing locations for the day time fishing?
I am hoping to get Travelly, Jews or any big fishs if I could find them on Sunshine coast.
Hope someone can give me some ideas.
Thank you all and best wish for the fishing. #

Re: Need help with Sunshine Coast landbase locatio
try off the rocks on the south side of kings beach
high tide on dusk casting slugs, should be some trevor's around
or try off the board walk near bulcock beach, the current runs very fast around there but has landed some good size trevor's, mangrove jack and more.

I've had lots of luck fishing soft plastics around bullcock beach at dusk. No people swimming and on a run in tide the fish are biting.

Dont know if you intend on heading as far north as Noosa but if you are and you have ideas of fishing the Estuary the Woods Bays behind Hastings Street are excellent.
If you throw poppers at dawn you have a good chance of hooking trevally, tailor, Mangrove Jack or tarpon. T
he point that divides the two bays is a great spot for the land based angler. Keep in mind that there have been some fantastic captures of fish (including Tailor to 5.5kg) taken from the shore at this spot!!!
Hope this helps
(popular poppers for this area are Storm Chug Bug, Rebel Pop'R, Rapala Skitter Pops and River2Sea bubble Pops)

Thank You Daniel, Turley and Skeets.
It's really a good news that I can hook some Trevally up north there.
I may try the spots you suggest next few weeks if I could.
I always thinking Sunshine Coast should be better fishing area than gold coast but just didn't know the good spots around there.
Two month before I went to coolum beach but all I hook up is darts and breams.
Wish my next trip to sunshine coast could have more fun with all you guys helps.
Thank you all once again.

Try mouth of Bells Creek on falling tide for flathead. Some real stonkers get around those parts.
Had luck with Powerbait, Prawnstars and Kokoda prawns.
