    Poddy Mullet \ Livies

This is a double header question.
Does anyone know any where around the jumpinpin to run the bait net to score some poddy mullet? I know where to get hardy heads and gar but never get any mullet whilst running the bait net. And no a cast net isnt an option for me, I cant use one to save myself

Second Question, is there anywhere in the bay around Peel or along Straddie up Myora light way that gets good results jigging for livies? or do you need to be out further (Moreton way or offshore) I would appreciate if anyone would like to head me in the right direction.
    Cheers

Have another go at the cast net. Check out the clips on this site. A little bit of practice and you won't look back. Most of the sites mullet like around the Pin include lots of mangrove mud. A bait net is out of the question.

6 inches is good but i personal prefer mullet around the 10cm mark. The best sized poddy mullet ive scored around there was at a creek on the way to Jacobs Well... Its the one were you go over the bridge that restricts water flow to the other side. Great source of bait that place is. Anyone know where I'm talking about?

thats right.... good fishing if you go to the left and into the mangroves. Have had plenty of big runs on live mullet but the fish just spit em. Bullsharks im guessin??? we've caught a jack and a jewie there too.
