    Heya Wobbygone

Plenty of bay tailor over the winter months and to a lesser degree when it is hotter. Any current area around a bit of structure like channels, jetties, rocks dropoffs etc will have a few hanging around the foreshores river and islands.

Most are in the 30 to 35cm range but bigger specimens come along now and then so a smaller set of gangs and little or no weight around dusk and into the early evening will give you your best chance.

At times they can be suicidal phsycos but more often they need different presentations as they go quiet, so try different retrieves to get them interested again.

There is a member of this site that regularly catches tailor in the winter at Cleveland Point land based. Have a look at some of his posts (use the search function). This is an example:

Sounds like tidal flow and structure are the go. Will check out some of these locations as the weather cools off. I will also follow up the reports on land based cleveland.

    Thanks guys,
