    Opera Hse traps in NSW

    I'm headnig souht of the border this weekend. I know I can't take my cast net woth me, but is there any restrictions on using bait traps in NSW?

    I'm prety sure Opera House traps are banned east of the Newel Highway due to them being responsible for the drowning of Platypi this also covers private dams,west of the Newel they have to be fitted with a 75mm metal ring around the entrances,would pay to check the fisheries site though because this is only a recent rule change.

    yes they have to have the ring around the entrances
    honestly i dont think they work as well]
