you dont need to venture far goddy,,,,around the pine rv,, especially the hornibrook bridge area,,,up my way on bribie,,,redcliffe,,,woody point,,,shorncliffe,,,,,easiest way if ya new to the yabby game is to take a look see what others are doing around the rising tide marks,,,have a mate who lives at brighton and he's never without em on our trips around the traps,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
can it get any better??????????????,,,,,,,,,,,,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgG_TxEPaQE
thanks mate . ill be up on the pine this week end but not real keen on takeing the boat in any rough stuff as its a tad hard not falling over in rough stuff ''im in a wheelchair'' so is there any spots my misses can walk over to pump a few from the banks ...
I've never seen any yabbies in the Pine River or around Redcliffe. Nearest spot I know is Deception Bay foreshores near Redcliffe aerodrome, Caboolture River, Godwin Beach and the Bribie passage

[quote author=goddy84 ..do they keep over night :
Goddy84 I have kept them for several days in 2cm of clean sea water in a shallow container with a lid (I used tupperware) placed on the bottom shelf of the fridge.
If you can change the water each day they will keep for a week.
Needless to say you need to get rid of any casualties before they polute the water!

Yea mate i got a good place to the east of brisbane
try The Jumpin Pin, Logan
Southport SeaWay
Nearly any where that has a very low tide
you can get a few on the banks in hays inlet at low tide but a bit hard going unles you go up pass the pipes not even shore you can pump them up there now know there is a limit on collecting pippies ect up the way not shore about yabbies
the end of dohles rocks rd before it turns into korman has a few well troden walking tracks that lead to a few sandflat areas,,,,before the marsh takes over,,,and creek rd on the south side of the pine runs along a small tidal inlet that you can get access to the mouth that also holds a nice little sand bank on low tide,,,,,,,you'll find it tough in a wheelchair though
