I've never seen any yabbies in the Pine River or around Redcliffe. Nearest spot I know is Deception Bay foreshores near Redcliffe aerodrome, Caboolture River, Godwin Beach and the Bribie passage

[quote author=goddy84 ..do they keep over night :

Goddy84 I have kept them for several days in 2cm of clean sea water in a shallow container with a lid (I used tupperware) placed on the bottom shelf of the fridge.

If you can change the water each day they will keep for a week.

Needless to say you need to get rid of any casualties before they polute the water!

    Re: pumping yabbies

the end of dohles rocks rd before it turns into korman has a few well troden walking tracks that lead to a few sandflat areas,,,,before the marsh takes over,,,and creek rd on the south side of the pine runs along a small tidal inlet that you can get access to the mouth that also holds a nice little sand bank on low tide,,,,,,,you'll find it tough in a wheelchair though
