Hey guys,
I've put a fair bit of time casting little poppers around jetties around noosa and the gold coast trying to tempt some Bream into surface action but havent had any luck yet. Does anyone have any favourite lures/colours for either of these locations? Also would the tidal stage have as much effect on the size of the bream schooling under the jetties? Cheers,
Kev
I prefer the run-up tide and 1st hour or so of the run out tide. Any small poppers around 40mm should do the trick. I usually work them slowly with lots of pauses. Lately though I have been fishing un-weighted plastics on the surface and have found the strike rate to be much better than hard bodies. Try the Ecogear pink grubs or Squidgy bugs.
you should get yourself a packet of squidgy Bug's and the SQUIDGY SECRETS PART 3 DVD,in the dvd bushy has good success surface fishing for bream around oyster leases using unweighted squidgy bug's.
