Deception Bay north end

Hi, I will be trying out this area over Easter. Any recommendations for locations #welcomed. I will be land based but prepared to walk/wade, estuary fish etc. Just moved into the area and keen to try my hand at a new sport. I have been watching the forum for a while and appreciate the effort the experienced anglers go to to pass on their knowledge. Thanks to all those who contribute.

Hi welcome aboard try go to beach rd and joseph cr there is DPI building park car on grass side face to sea and walk along beside high fence there is ramp it is belong to DPI. walk on side dont go out it will sunk u only way to walk along side about 50m away from mangrove bush. you can walk along beach on 1hour before low tide or run out tide and walk about 200 m there is yabbies area can pump for free than buy bait then 50 m or more to fish near burpengary creek .But if you walk straight out it will sunk as there is limit hard surface so better go and do some reserch first and see yourself mate have fun there is all type fishes youngmind Harry

This area in the bay is called the FLATTIE HOLE for obveouse reasons. There is also some good muddies up this area. Things to look at before you go tho are
are the pro netters netting there at that time ....no fish when there around for a few weeks
also there are alot of people that HOOK mud crabs there and they take everything so it gets hard sometimes to get a buck.
This spot is popular now it use to be a good area
