Re: Boat Ramp Renovation
excuse the fish This one shows the type we have on the coast. Wooden structure on a slab, with a colourbond roof. Stainless table with drainage & tap.

Re: Boat Ramp Renovation
Best setup ive seen so far is in Yamba, Great cleaning tables, lights and a high pressure hose to give the boat a quick blast off before you leave the ramp.
Fisheries creek needs lights not just for the cleaning table either... Its far to dark down there and late at night theres to many smack tards hanging around.
I tend to use the next ramp downstream near the little park. No cleaning tables but never had a problem with tyres being let down etc there. The people who live in the houses seem to keep a half an eye on whats going on which i think deters the idiots somewhat.

all of the above plus ...
i'd suggest a raised shelf so when you take a fillet or have a bag half full its not kicking around in the slops

Thanks for the replies and the photos.
Heath, Does the the overhead cover keep the pelicans off the table. We want a roof to provide protection from the elements but to also keep the pelicans off the table. They shit everywhere otherwise.
Archer, any chance of you posting a few pics of the yamba cleaning table. Council installed new lights at fisheries creeek about a month or two ago. It looks good down there now. once the toilet block is completed there will be even more light.
GWH, not a bad idea. will keep that in mind when we finalise our design.
What day of the week is it?

Marc,
Have never spied a pelican turd on the table. It does seem to keep them off.

Re: Boat Ramp Renovation
Hi Muzza,
I have checked out the site for the past couple of years but only signed up in the past couple of months. You know me, I like to stay out fo the limelight but keep track of what is going on from the shadows.
In this instance I felt it quite important to get as many great ideas as possible as I know we will only get one shot at this, (at least for the next 20 years or so).
