Bribie Island - surf side - what's doing?

Hey everyone - pretty new to forum, love reading all your posts. My question is about the surf side of Bribie Island. Driven up the beach several times and bagged a few nice dart, but there never seems to be that many people fishing along the beach. Is it not such a great spot? Anyone know whether tailor may come on the chew along tis stretch? Thanks!!

From some of the reports that I have heard on the grapevine lately you can't get your tailor baits past those pesky school mackeral

You will get tailor there, but get in quick before the pros start netting the annual mullet run, the fishing along the entire surf beach will just shut down shortly after the first school is ripped from the shore dump.
