    flounder are diamond shaped, sole are eliptical down each edge- looking down on them.

    try doing drifts at the start of the run out tide using a small hook, size 2 sinker with a 8" trace of mono and some mullet fillet.
    in the bay shallows is good flatfish country- peg tooth flounder are pretty common on the tops of the bay banks- look for feeding pelargics and work under the bait schools.......
    i know that i would rather eat a flounder then any pelargic caught in moreton bay.
    i hope to oneday catch a certified QLD. halibut, i reckon the trench area might hold some....if you get through all the grinners.

    Ye gads! I think I may have started the flounder revolution.

    Please ignore the information supplied by anyone who thinks flounder taste good.

    They are really horrible, ugly beasts and should either be thrown back, or preferrably, delivered to my place for environmentally sensitive disposal.

    After having caught a couple of small ones at Yamba a few years ago I've been hanging out to catch a bigger one.

    Lo and behold I dragged a huge one up from under the Woody Pt jetty. ;

    It turned out to be a ray that somebody had cut the stinger off of. :'

    Boated two flounder on the Logan River on Anzac day the missus loved them, if the eyes are on the left hand side of the head they are called "true" flounder and on the right hand side they are just flounder.....I think thats the right way around we caught them on worm and prawn on the high tide very good table fish

    My missus and youngest daughter had a rare feed and I got strict instructions to go back out and catch some more

    Dont need telling twice

    Tight lines my friends
