    Fishing Bribie/Passage

G'day. This be me first post. I just moved to Elimbah. Not a big fisherman but keen to start. I don't have access to a boat, but want to get a line in somewhere. What are some good spots around this area? Times, baits etc?

    Thanks alot.

red beach is worth ago down the bottom end of bribie i would use live worms. or bongaree if you go a little bit past the jetty you come to a car park . i would recommend just a little cast out as there is a drop off as again fresh worms or yappies or even strips of mullet

    Gday Art,
mate i agree with mark87 on location and baits the fresher the better with bait. i have fished Red Beach a few times for bread and butter fish like Bream, Whiting and Flathead. From my experience Whiting will feed most of the time, Bream from dusk til dawn on an incoming tide and flathead on dusk on a low tide. Could also try somewhere with some structure. Plenty of info out there on the different species on their type of habbitate and feeding preferences. Keep experimenting every location and species is different and u can get lucky sometimes even if the conditions are against u. Good luck and happy fishing mate.

    Hey Art,

Bribie can be great for land based fishing. There are a few locations on the Shore Fishing Australia website,

Take a look, they might help you out.
