Its day time that i have been fishing and just happen to see them cruise past my boat. I havent tried your new idea's yet as i havent been able to find them again. But when i do ill be ready!!
And yes Brr bear i have been snapper fishing... I went to the 24's off surfers and finally caught about 5 at only 23 cm but i knew they where there and got used to catching and feeling the bites and what baits to use. But i went back out about 2 weeks after that and dropped a few whole whitting i had caught down and whammmm got 2 62 cm snapper and 2 at about 50 cm. Also got a nice sweetlip at 3 kilo's aswell. And a tuna on a handline at another time... So i was so stoked. Thanx again for everyone's help. thanx for asking
Try the Shrimp hunter squid jigs about $30 a pop, brown/gold colour, thats my secret weapon when it comes to shy squid. I modified it a little to suit shallow water squiding around the jettys and rocks. I didn't want to risk losing a $30 jig so I lightened it and was surprised to find that the squid preferred a slower sinking action, bingo ##### I said and now the squid love me.
Hope that helps cos they are tasty little suckers.
