    yeh I had an "expert" at work confirm it's a Watson's Leaping Bonito. There was a heap of them off Bribie on Sunday gorging themselves on whitebait!

    its a watsons, top tucka smoked, also some ppl dont mind them as fillets either

    Hmm about the eating.

    Okay if marinaded in white wine and vinegar and eaten raw with any type of dipping sauce you like.

    Absolutely great smoked.

    Best cooking method is to steam them and then make up any sauce you like.

    Seen that fish in a book and I am pretty sure it's a bonito.
