Crab pot over summer, you sure your talking about Nudgee Ck that the little one that runs in "behind" Nudgee Beach. you might mean Schultz canal that whole areas fished pretty hard you might do better heading down the river.
Schultz Cannal, have had some good sessions there, caught heaps of lizards up near mouth, bream, whiting, etc, use bigger plakkys like the 4" gulps for the flattys, the current can run pretty strog there so check tides, last 2 hours of the runout is good, cos you can wade out along the sand bank. Good luck
Fished it a few time from the bank recently while waiting for boat. Yeah caught plenty of bream and flatties but not one legal one. Didn't fish for Whiting there but getting plenty of winterers on the compass need a boat but! (See my post "just for charleville")
Nudgee Creek (proper) holds good flatties and bream. Caught good size of both in there of both. HEAPS of little bream too I've normally fished down across the road of the boat ramp & in near the canoe launching spot.
Have had a few little missions closer towards the mouth, and there is a lot of potential there for sure!
