it would have to be squid or prawns
pillies for me, but going by the responses here, I'll have to learn to catch squid
I was tempted to say, pkt 3" pumpkinseed gulps
estuary fishing i would have to say live blood worms.....there expensive but plenty of fish like them.
ive never had much luck with squid.....but then again ive never tryed fresh caught squid
cheers tim
the good old mac tuna is a great allrounder. it also has a great convenience factor (ie get it out of the freezer at $0 cost).
Live prawns catch everything from Jewies to Whiting
In the estuary has to be Yabbies as Bream, Flathead, Whiting, Jew, Grunter, Trevally and almost anything swimming in the estuary will eat them.
Offshore Live Slimy Mackerel will catch everything from Snapper to Marlin.
I always stick to the fresh is best but live is better motto.
Colorado,
thought you preferred whole live hammerheads up the creek when the bullies were on the chew!
River, beach, 32s, 48s or the shelf, only one answer , MULLET, god i'd hate to come back as a mullet, everything eats it.
Muzz
For estuary it is hard to beat the humble yabby, just about anything will take them.
lIVE MULLET I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THIS IS JUST ABOUT THE ONLY BAIT I USE ANY WAY.
I'm from NSW, is herring a slimey mackrel, or yakka or the like?
Cheers,
Dean.
the father in law used to use steak,,cut into strips and marinated in tuna oil,,,absolutely killed the bream in sussex inlet were he had a holiday house,, i'm surprised no one has nominated the humble pippie for estuary,, especially fresh,,, what the fish dont eat,,, goes on the bbq,,,outside though i agree with the majority,, fresh squid,,,,,,,,,,,choppa
can it get any better??????????????,,,,,,,,,,,,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgG_TxEPaQE
I have to go along with what most of the other guys have said, squid.
It certainly wouldn't be my first choice for any kind of fishing I do but would be second, third or fourth for almost everything.
There isn't a fish I haven't or couldn't catch on it that I can think of except for the weed eaters which I have never targeted anyway.
