fishing mud island
howdy all new to this site, But i was looking for infomation regarding fishing mud island on soft plastics. i fish a great deal around redcliffe with plastic but now wish to get out to mud and try for snapper on plastic. If somebody couldgive me some info on the area and the best ground to chase the snapper on with plastic that would be great.

Re: fishing mud island
Shaneoo,
The 3 general areas you will find most of the talk about would be...
1. East of Mud draw a line between the two red markers, one at the SE corner of Mud and the other close to the NE end of Mud. Along that stretch is a bit of a hump and lots of boats on a weekend- can't miss it.
2. On the NW corner about 1KM out, you'll find a marker on a drop off and broken bottom. Fish the shallower side of the drop off in around 7.5mtrs.
3. SW corner of Mud is popular with the burley brigade, I am told there's a few secret bommies that respond well, but as yet I have yet to find one of these that hasn't already got someone parked there.
Best of luck
