    Brisbane Northside Whiting

    Hi All,

My old man is hopefully heading out from Shorncliffe / Scarborough tommorow (I know its short notice) and was hoping for a feed of whiting.

Does anyone out there in Ausfish land know of any spots that are producing at the moment?

    Any locations would be appreciated!

    Cheers

    Plenty of winters around.

If you leave Scarbough go down to the last beacon out of New Port, drift on the side away from New Port about 100m off beacon.

Off Woody point jetty head towards Sandgate drift between 500m and 1km off the jetty.

Out off Sandgate(Cabbage Tree). The Compass adjustment boay is ta go (head towards Mud Is you'll see the red boay about 2-3 km out) drift between the boay and the last green beacon that runs from the Bris. river.

Use size 6 or 8 long shanks hook 10mm of worm or 20mm squid just enough lead 00 or 000. Don't teke em under 20cm you'll still get plenty and it leaves some for a couple of weeks when you need some more.
