hi all,
went to the pin on sunday for a quick fish in the morning.
lots of bait about, and they were being pushed up against the shallow banks with the tide.
fished the shallows (20cm-120cm) of water close to channels and pulled out 9 flathead and a few bream mainly using 3 inch gulp wriggly tails with a heavy jig head draged through the sand and popped up every now and then.
all but 2 were let go for another day. the two kept were 49cm and 57cm.
sighted plenty more in the shallows including a few real bigones and heaps of strigrays. most were caught real close to the bank.
couldnt find any tailor this time but that said we didnt look very hard.
we were having to much fun fishing for the flathead by sight as the water was very clear and calm.
speaking of which...were was the wind? it was glassed out there for most of the day after the forecast was 10-15knts when i looked the nite before.
great day to be on the water, pity we had to come back early.
