boat hire

i have a couple of friends comming over on the weekend and they want to have a go at fishing the bay or one of the esturies on the sunshine coast.

I have don't have a boat but have heard you can hire them from places like bribie and on the maroochy river. probably looking for an 8 person thing or one of those pontoons.

can anyone give me any names of hire places up that way? we don't fancy going as far up as noosa.

Spinaker Sound on the left about 1k before the Bribie bridge used to hire out BBQ boats. Otherwise just as you go over the Bribie bridge turn hard left, about 50 foot along the local shop rents boats, but with 8 people you'll need to hire 2 or 3 of his boats.

Also at Dohles rocks you used to be able to hire boats, but have not been there for a while.
