i find it depends on the location youre fishing. some place, mullet strips outdo chook breast, and others pilly cubes over ox kidney. others live herring, etc etc. i really have found that it is beneficial to suss out which bait works best for which location. makes sense too - i just wish i was smart enough as a kid to figure it out - woulda saved years of inconsistent captures, lol. take a few to your spot and try em all out, preferably at the same time if youve got a few rigs on the go.
