Found out what it was it was a bony bream like this but this isnt the one i caught and it was caught in the cast net

Apart from the unpleasantness over this post, some may find the following interesting.
Jungle Perch have been present in the Brisbane River, with historical captures many many moons ago, and I was reliably informed that the Brood mare the DPI have for a breeding program was capture in the upper Brisbane river. So it is concievable that they are still there, although I have fished most if the length of the river over 35 years and haven't caught 1 yet.
