definitely a jungle perch there jpart...or otherwise known as a rock flagtail. It's encouraging that the waterway has cleaned to the extent that we now have tropical freshwater species like this in the river.
that is a jungle perch. Quite rare down this way, even more surprising that it came from the brissy river. I know a while ago the DPI were interested in any reported captures in SE queensland.
Well now I have another fish I can target out here.
Great catch.
JEEZ ITS A JUNGLE PERTCH A VRY CLEAN FISH WELL DONE
Good stuff mate
did it put up much of a fight that fish? awesome colouration on the thing, what did you use for bait or what lure? where abouts is the sandy area at the moggil ferry, never noticed much sand there before? did you keep it for a feed or let the thing fight another day?

Oh dear, you appear to have posted a photo of a fish that was previously posted by Fitzy on the 12/1/05 as your own

I'll leave it as that
PS. well done to archer for spotting it.
