Moreton island jewfish on surf side

i am going camping on moreton island for a week and i would like some info where i could catch form jewfish on the surf side . as i am going over in a month so there is heap of time for me to chase some info before i go so i hope you boy can help me out .

i will be taking 2set of surf rod,s so one will be alvey rod (jewfish) and one spining rod (tailor)

i will be using spinnig rod to catch fresh tailor bait,s with it .
so any more info i need to know so hope you can share it with me

Hi Cool,
I haven't been for a while but two spots that have produced are:-

As you exit the middle track onto the surfside there is a gutter as soon as you come on to the beach,At high tide this gutter held a fair ammount of water and fished well.Especially at night.Bigger fish seem to like it here.

Another spot is on the surfside beach is right next to the lighthouse cliffs/rocks,The water isn't very deep here but try high tide at night in the wash/whitewater.You may not think ya out far enough at this location but fish have been pulled about 30 meters from the shore.Mainly smaller fish are caught here,Possibly because of depth.But a Jew's a Jew.

The current rips along the ocean side and conditions change all the time,Gutters and suckouts move as mother nature is very powerful.Use your powers of observation and you should be O.K.

Your on the money with fresh Tailor fillets,Top class bait and great to catch in their own right.Chuck one out at the middle track gutter and hold on.Don't ever think ya bait is to big.
