Pine River Brisvegas Dirt Ramp Tyre Slashing

Bloke at work came back to his car near the dirt ramp on the Pine (near the highway bridge) to find 4 tyres slashed complete with broken off blade of Stanley knife.

According to him, reported to coppers who said it was the third that had been reported that week. Bloke asked coppers what they were doing about it. Nothing. Other priorities.

I would not want to meet this particular bloke when he was irate. Bet the cops would be around to have a chat to him if he had returned at the right time and dealt with the scum.

I have posted warnings about this ramp before, i fish the area regularly, and have had bad past experiences, got into a blew with a car full of young blokes doing donuts there late at night spraying rocks all over my car, it needs some lights put around the area and maybe some concrete, but then it may increase the popularity and make it a pain in the bum to launch like deep water bend on a weekend!!!???

    Chaps,

Deep Water bend ain't necessarily any better. Have heard/seen lots of fishos that have had either stuff pinched from their cars or trailers vandalised/damaged at Deep Water Bend. Anywhere secluded provides potential for idiots to strike.

Maybe the approach would be to install video surveilance equipment at parking areas at boat ramps. But I guess it comes down to who pays?

    Cheers,
