Re: Soap in bait fish traps?
Let me know how it goes Rik. I mashed a couple up and left a few full in the trap - clear or net trap didn't matter. Don't forget to stir the mud up. This worked a treat when I fished the NSW South Coast.

Re: Soap in bait fish traps?
mmm, a fishing guide told me to never set the traps on rocky bottoms, and only put there where there is enough water to cover them. Try that if you haven't already. Try different spots also.

also try burleying them to ur spot with bread or bread crumbs beforehand. It is important that you no the fish are actually there to find the trap haha. Because something like chips probably doesnt attract fish from to far away.

Re: Soap in bait fish traps?
I think traps have been brought up here in the past. From memory a lot of people backed up what my experience with them has been. I got em to work in nsw using chook pellets and tuna oil and fish bits but cant get em to work in queensland using bloody anything! Go figure.
