Cod of some sorts
baby esturary cod isnt it?
estuary cod..... very common and not too bad on a plate. well done
Heno.
Definatley an estuary cod... Nice firm white flesh which isnt too fishy - YUM. That area has some weird fish it in actually considering it looks fairly dirty with limited tidal moment - must be cleaner than it looks.. Some decent flounder in there on 1/0 hooks weighted to bottom with peeled prawns - they are top eating!
A greedy little Estuary Cod
no doubt definatly a estury cod
Well thats it then estury cod
gold spot estuary cod.
Very common in the broadwater, and good eating. dont forget to check your legal limits if you keep a fish. These have to be over 35cm to eat.

thanks guys, it was only tiny, whats the chances of a big one in there, it was caught under one of the bridges there, was some big bream around too
defenitlyt a cod of sum sort
estuary cod - 35cm min size - great eating, but only really worth it in larger size, once you fillet them. Suggest if you catch a few, just keep one
If there are litle ones, then there will be bigger ones around 35-45 cm in the area. Better chances of a big one at night.
They get much bigger on the reefs.

I've caught plnety of those little buggers and the moses perch whenever I'm lazy bringing a plastic in near the rocks in the canals. They dart out an grab anything that gets near their little hole. Might find a bigger one around, they've got huge mouths.
