Tips on fishing Bribie (land based) please

    Gidday Ausfishers,

One of my kids is going to Bribie camping this weekend (bad luck about the weather report). #They plan to do a bit of fishing, though they're not mad-keen fishing nuts like we all are.

I haven't fished up that way for years, so I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for likely spots (land-based) and what to target this time of year? #Even a couple of undersized bream would be better than nothing (they will release them of course).

    Thanks,

    Mike

    G'day Mike, try this website

go to locations, Qld ect till you locate Bribie.

try in front of the IGA store around dusk.

    Good luck

    Thanks for the replies.

That is a very handy website, Floyd. I will check it out for myself as well. There are days when I feel like fishing but couldn't be bothered getting the boat ready.

Thanks for the offer Chopa, but you wouldn't want four of them with you, and they are coming back Sunday (and maybe earlier given the weather report).

It's low tide about 7am on the weekend, a bit later inside the passage. If they have a yabby pump I'd suggest pumping some yabbies at Whitepatch and then fishing along the edge of the ledge at Whitepatch with them. Should pick up a few bream, Moses perch, a stray summer whiting and possibly a lizard or two before the tide pushes back. The yabbies fished in the surf at Skirmish Point will produce numerous small dart and possibly the odd larger one
