After spending about 12 years trying to catch a snapper I have finally cracked it. It was caught on a aprox 35cm yakka set for a cobia off the GC yesterday. Didn't get a cobia but who cares Fish went 7.15kg on ausfish scales.

Was at a spot x that a charter boat skipper gave me for cobia, had the livie down about 80 feet about 10 foot above a huge bait school that covered the botom 50 feet.
