Whilst fishing recently at Caloundra, one of the bream I caught was tagged. I reported same to the number o nthe tag which was Suntag. They then sent me the details regarding the tagged fish.
It was originally tagged at Long Island..it had a total length of 260mm and was tagged on 8.4.2006
I caught it in Pumicestone Passage ...it now has a total length of 280mm and weas caught on 6.7.2006
In three months it had grown 20mm..a faster growth rate than what I would have envisaged.
WOw!! that is really good to hear. I didnt realise they could re-populate that quickly. i will wait 6 months then il chase him down and have a feed . By the way whereabouts is long island? Is it far away?
Cheers
daniel
