Bribie Island, Best Place to Fish (onshore)?

I am thinking of heading up Bribie for a spot of drowning bait...and hope to catch a fish while I am at it...I am chasing whiting, flathead and bream...bait should be either worms or yabbies...anyone know a good spot?

Chances are I might hire a boat...so any help for a good spot for boats would be appreciated as well...

    Cheers

Vooddoo you can hire a boat and drift the passage with a chance to pick up any of these species or anchor up near the shallow water ningi side at the bottom end and try for some flathead. I havent been there for awhile but I used to do very well. Red beach is another great spot if you are walking the beach for whiting and flathead and some bigger fish that sometimes haunt the area. I hope this helps you some.

If you end up with a boat the bridge pylons are a good spot to start, or Red Beach if landbased, down around white patch can also be good. Watch out you dont end up in Chop Jnr's spot X though

Any chance some one could mark a google earth with Buckleys hole or give some reasonable directions.

Red beach for whiting is always a good bet!

    choppa & chopjr is watching!!!!!!!!!!!!

buckleys hole,,,,,,,south of the jetty,,, travel past the jetty and take the next turn off to the right,,, this leads into a park,,,car park area,,, park your car in sight,,especially during holidays,,,or leave no vals in sight,,,there are posted signs stating video survelliance but they pinched em,,

walk the beach towards the southern point and buckleys is very noticeable,, signs,,,beach formation etc etc

there are literally heaps of other spots,,, landbased,,, but if all is failing as it has been over the past few weeks,,, don't forget the loch,,,doesn't look fishy,,, but i've caught and seen some quality fish come outta there

    boating,,,

wreck,,,,,,cockle banks,,,white patch,,,mouth of ningi creek,,, and theres the old av cod hole on the mainland side of the bridge,,

if your hiring a boat,,, the marina or the boat hire immediately to the left after the b/isl bridge
(but your restricted to where you can travel here)

don't forget to pay for your licence on arrival,,, and you should be okay
    can it get any better??????????????,,,,,,,,,,,,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgG_TxEPaQE
