Pike as Bait

Hi all, just wondering if Pike are OK to use after being frozen. I have access to Squillions of these little terrors where I live and am going up to the Bay in a few weeks and figured why not have some fun catching bait for the trip.

So are they OK after being frozen or am I wasting time???

fresh bait is always the best but i it should be alright if not good berligh iv had some good runs from sharks on freash pike but i heard u get spottys and spanish on pike out sea

I've had some luck with squire on pike and a few sweeties as well..Billy

pike are still great bait after being frozen get all my tailor on them

My bro-in-law used to be a pro fisho and troll them for spanish macks. He used to catch a few months worth of pike in a night or two and freeze them. I remember he used to get heaps but I was too young for him to let me reel one in

i use pike alot, they freeze well but I ice mine immediately on capture,

Pike go well as a troll bait for spanish , i through mine on a wog head , break there backs and get them swimming a bit , Poor mans gar really but better then having nothing in the water

pike dead or alive are a great bait,reefs in closer they fish well for big jew,or usually anything big that likes a feed in the late summer months spanish mackeral lovem.every pike i have put out gets belted,not to say i get every fish,but down here in the premiere state they work great
