    Curse of Northwest

Interesting question of those people fortunate enough to have spent time at Northwest Island.
Have you ever been and not had some damage to yours or some-one elses boats whilst there.
It seems the place may be cursed.
I will be back early next year to try again, maybe I need an exorcist with us.

yep 4 times in total no damage but we took tinnies in the 12 - 14 foot range - the one time we took a quinie spirit the merc on the back went and couldn't get over 2000 revs so had to get towed in.

No major equipment problems on NW so far, but spent a fortnight at Musgrave spear fishing. King tide and too many beers and we forgot to check the tinnie as the tide came in. Got caught under a fallen tree and the tide came over the back of it, completely swampoed the boat and drowned the motor, and ripped off the cowling.

We were lucky enough to be able to get it sent back to Bundy, get it serviced and sent back out. But for 3 days we towed our little tinnie around and just used it as a float to keep the esky and fish in. Its pretty tough going fighting the currents and wind while towing a boat when you're fully loaded with wetsuit, diving weights, gun and float.

All part of the adventure though and we slept pretty well those 3 nights.
