have any other Sydney or south coast anglers been catching QLD fish.
Last week I caught a spangled emperor, wasn't 100% sure and went to the local tackle shop and he told me another fellow caught an emperor at malabar the week before.
Well this morning I caught what I swear is a sweet lip?
Nuthin ta do with global warming. hard as ya might find it to believe but have caught several Spangled Emperor(Yella Lipper far as Wollongong) Adjascent to North Beach next to a Bommie we used to Fish over twenty six year back..
Cheers
there is talk of unusually warm currents down the south coast for this time of year, but i must say i agree with volvo. personally, i dont believe in the global warming theory - i think it's an issue of cycles.
I have caught Spangled Emporer at Port kembla on several occasions over the past 20 odd years, BUT, I have also caught a Coral Trout on the small bombie next to the Five islands some years ago, never heard of one here before or since!
We do get some unsual northern visitors at times in Sydney. They just get caried down by the East Coast Current, nothing to do with global warming. Quite a few pearl perch we cought a couple of summers ago. Cobia turn up from time to time too. A sailfish was caught between botany Bay heads in the 1970's.
