Head up the passage on the mainland side, turn left into Ningi Creek and fish the mouth and oyster leases. Be careful as it gets very shallow. I have caught good sized bream, whiting and flatties there, as well as some good muddies further upstream. A little bit north and on the opposite side of the passage is Whitepatch which produces good whiting.
there are some good spots around bribie that i have found when using the hire boats up there,my fiancee and i have caught tuskfish, grass sweetlip,squire...there must be a few patches of broken reef/rubble,i need to get my own boat up there and find these spots on the sounder and mark them in the gps.
i havent really helped you much but im just letting you know there are a few spots that u may pick up something apart from the usual whiting, bream, flatties.
cheers tim![]()
Are you looking to fish inshore or offshore??
