Summer Whiting in the bay
has anyone had any success on the summeries over at the sandhills off moreton yet, or is it still a little too earlie for them

The anchorage at the sandhills is a top spot for winteries all year round. The quality is usually excellent although (like everywhere else in the bay at the moment) the grinners can be a problem. Summeries should be starting to appear at Moreton about now. They are best caught off the beaches in the surf shallows and tend to bite better at night. I haven't had a shot at them yet this year but give us some decent wetaher and it won't be long

yup caught 30 in an hour on sunday
