what can i catch in this way?

i will bring two set ups to shorncliffe jetty.
trying to catch some pike or similar fish on sp with the lighter rod.
then put the possible pike on a ganged hook, metal trace, cast with a little heavier rod (, 110m 15lb line). i will try to keep the pike alive if needed.
what will be the possible catch?
    thanks
also, i wanna know what kind of reel i am expected to use on that heavier rod. how much does the reel cost generally.(frequently use for bait fishing)

Hey mate, in answer to your first question, Tailor or shark perhaps.

Query about your second question, what would you prefer, side cast or threadline reel?

    Cheers

If you get lucky there 110m ain't going to cut it my friend, I've seen 6ft + sharks, tuna over 30 pounds come in off there and not that long ago either. Focus your live baiting for when the hardi heads school up so thick you cant see through the water. The pike will be there as well, the whole jetty becomes a giant fish attracter on overdrive and this is the time that the big critters will come in close enough for us landbased fishos to have a crack at them. Put the time in you'll work it out.
