bribie/mooloolaba offshore
Hi my fishy friends,
Thinking of going for a session at first light in the morning about 4.30 - 5.00 am kick off.
Can't decide whether to go out to the inner neerings off mooloolaba or try the skirmish banks out the front of bribie.
I hear alot about the neerings but nothing about the skirmsih banks, is there just nothing there or what???
Both these spots i have not been to before but am very keen to give it a go.
Any advice on which one would be easier to target would be greatly appreciated and why...
My rig is a 4.6 Stessco Offshore, 60 Hp Johnson...
Mostly do bait fishing, bottom bashing, keen to lure and jig though.
Cheers Ausfishers.

bribie/mooloolaba offshore
Hi again
I meant to say the spitfire banks off bribie, not the skirmish banks.
Not enough fishing rots your brain !!!
Cheers.

Re: bribie/mooloolaba offshore
If you want to bottom bash then head to the Gneerings. The spitfire banks are just sand banks. They hold lots of bait in summer and you can normally find the normal pelagic suspects during summer. There are some spoil grounds out there that hold grassies but good luck getting a mark
Gneerings does have some structure around but you can get a good fed of snaps in the most unlikely spots in close at M/ba. Your best bet for a feed would be M/ba and head south to Currimundi for a feed of schoolies - they are firing big time.
Cheers
Greg
