    What's in your Berley

Thought I would throw this one out their and see if anyone has any interesting stuff they put in their berley.

    Mine consists of the usual

    Old Pillies
Prawn bits (after making the garlic prawns)
    Tuna Oil
    Chook pellets
    and sand

Interested in what others are using. Mine is primarily for macks etc.

Depends on what my brother has had for breakfast

Seriously you cannot beat pilchards, especially those inferior imported ones that are around at present as that is all they are good for.

    Re: What's in your Berley

Bacon, eggs, toast, coffee and kwells

Nahh, kidding, never been sea sick..

Used to have a mincer for the frames but got stupid once and put whiting heads in it and it shat itself and went into the wheely bin that week

Yours sounds good, The old chook pellets are OK, you have to store them properly or you get weavels, or worse, they get damp and mouldy and when that happens you would swear an old wino has been sleeping in your boat

only cut up pilchards, dropped over every minute or so, not into slicks that can be seen from space or need the oil spill people to clean up.

Same as above , and mix it up well with sand . A mate of mine punctures a tin of cat food ( sardines , tuna or pillies ) and ties it to his boat has a good run on bream using this berley .

    Re: What's in your Berley

Anybody got any good ideas for a motorised mincer? I was wondering if I ever came across an old insinkerator whether it would be up to the job. Anybody tried one?

I believe in recycling when I catch crabs/prawns I kept the shells /heads /legs and with fish i kept the fish scale's e frames for crab bait so i kept the cycle going
and put the other usual ingredients in it i don't use blood or tuna oil what so ever what i have got works for me
