Re: where to pump for yabbies - brisbane river are
I get mine from the flats at the front of Lota, round to the mouth of Tinny Creek area. usually not bad pumping and get them easily enough.
Walking out on the flats at low tide isnt too bad, a little muddy but you get out and back quite OK.
Used to get alot off the bank from Wello Point to king Island, but havent pumped there for a long time.

Marlin Mike is on the money on this one.
This is where I also go.
It can be a Bit#$ to get out to the low water mark where the best scores are harvested though.
The mud is very soft and you sink way in.
Another spot is Wellington Point on the low tide on the land bridge that joins King Island to the mainland. It is not as productive but a dam sight easier to get to.
Look for there mound/holes that indicate there presence and pump them on the incoming tide so as there is water coming into there holes to float them up.
If you pump them when there is no water in there holes it is very hard to get them out.
Hope this helps
